Burroughs-Molette Elementary School is dedicated to providing a safe, positive environment in which every child believes in him/herself.

Burroughs-Molette Elementary School will transform lives by instilling and inspiring lifelong learning in every student and by encouraging every student to reach their fullest potential.

Beliefs

• We believe students should have an emotionally and physically safe environment that promotes student learning.
• We believe students should make good choices, be responsible for their behavior and come to school ready to learn.
• We believe that challenging expectations increase individual student performances.
• We believe that students learn best when they are actively engaged in the learning process.
• We believe that classroom time should be spent on appropriate learning activities.
• We believe that by involving the parents and community in school activities children will be more successful.
• We believe that our school should promote mutual acceptance and respect among parents, students and staff.
• We believe our school should be sensitive to multi-cultural needs.
• We believe the students learn in different ways and should be provided with a variety of instructional approaches to support their learning.
• We believe students’ learning needs should be the primary focus of all decision-making that takes place in our school.
• We believe students need to understand basic skills while also being actively involved in problem solving and producing quality work.
• We believe the commitment to continuous work is imperative if our school is to enable students to be confident, self-directed, life-long learners.
