........................................................

Family: I live with my fiancé, Kenton, and our two fur babies, Hamilton and Hurley. Hamilton is a 9-year-old Golden Retriever, and Hurley is a 3-year-old Shar-Pei.

Who is your role model? My parents, Chris and Gale Kennedy are my role models. I would not be the teacher I am today if my parents had not instilled a strong work ethic in me at an early age. They taught me to be determined, motivated, reliable, and disciplined. I display and teach these values in my classroom.

What is your greatest teaching memory? My greatest teaching memory is going to Disney World for the last two years with my students, who achieved Distinguished Learners on the Georgia Milestone. Their smiles and excitement are priceless.

What is your favorite quote or personal motto? “If kids come to us from strong, healthy functioning families, it makes our job easier. If kids do not come to us from strong, healthy functioning families, it makes our job more important.” -Barbara Coloroso

“I’m suspicious of people who don’t like dogs, but I trust a dog when it doesn’t like a person. -Bill Murray”

What is a fact about you that most people don't know? One of my favorite activities is hunting for shark teeth on Jekyll Island and while on beach vacations.

Any hidden talents or hobbies? I am an excellent cook, but please don’t ask me to bake!
